No fatalities nor injuries were reported in the incident near Kangemi on Saturday afternoon, September 14.
The vehicle caught flames, attracting a crowd and building a traffic snarl-up before the efforts to quell the fire started.
The cause of the fire was not established immediately; firefighters from Nairobi county government showed up at the scene.
At the time of their arrival, the vehicle had remained a shell of its former self. The wreckage was pulled beside the road to open up traffic that had started building up.
