Two people were on Friday morning killed after a lorry ferrying logs of wood got involved in an accident in the Dundori area of Nyandarua County.
According to witnesses, the lorry reportedly lost control before veering off the road, knocking pedestrians.
During the mid-morning incident, several people sustained injuries even as locals rushed to rescue those who had been trapped under the wreckage.
Moments after the accident, police officers arrived at the scene and cordoned the area before commencing a probe into the accident.
Meanwhile, those injured were rushed to the nearest hospital with the deceased tken to the mortuary awaiting identification and a subsequent postmortum.
